We hope to return soon, but there have been no updates. I occasionally call the number to check for updates on the voicemail message. When we drive by, we still see a sign that says "coming soon." A few... read more I never actually had the chance to eat at this restaurant, but my experience trying to locate it and purchase a gift certificate left much to be desired. A few years ago, I wanted to give my brother and his partner a gift certificate to Il Garage for Christmas. Despite hearing good and strange things about the place, I struggled to find it on Beach Boulevard. The confusing parking situation led me to Park Ave instead, which seemed to be somehow connected to Il Garage. After a series of misunderstandings and awkward interactions with the staff, I was finally able to purchase a gift certificate for $100. Unfortunately, both Park Ave and Il Garage are now closed, so my money may have gone to waste. Overall, the experience felt pretentious and outdated in all the wrong ways.

The vibe is warm, f... read more I absolutely love this place! Was taken here for my birthday several years ago and we recently returned for a friend's birthday celebration. The vibe is warm, friendly and upscale without being snooty or pretentious. My friend was not feeling the ono fish special, but when the manager stopped by to see how we were doing, he quickly and graciously allowed her to replace it she ordered the scallops instead (which were AWESOME). I'd return in a heart beat.
