We went hiking in Gspon today. On the way back, at 3 p.m., we were able to eat a delicious Valais platter here. Great service and fantastic mountain view, gladly again! View all feedback.
What D Bühler doesn't like about Riederberg:
You need to call them beforehand and reserve your food. We were hungry at 1pm but they didnt serve us anything to eat. Thats ridicolous. At least we were served some drinks. Thanks but no thanks View all feedback.
The amazing Doris runs this little restaurant perched on a mountainside in the picturesque village of Staldenried in the canton of Valais. She prepared a spectacular meal for our party of 5, including pumpkin soup and salad (which she made using her own homegrown vegetables) and main course. Doris was very attentive and accommodated me as a vegetarian with no problem. My meat-eating companions said the venison steaks she prepared were better than any they'd ever eaten. If it's a nice day you can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy unparalleled views of the Alps and mountainside villages.

Passed by today. According to the website it should be open but no, it was closed for company holidays and that during the high season. I can only shake my head at that.
Delicious daily menu, friendly service, well catered for, I'll be happy to come back! The game specialties in autumn are very tasty and definitely recommended!
