My first encounter was on an autumn afternoon and we just stopped for coffee and homemade cake and I decided then I would return as the atmosphere,...service and views were great. My next visits have been in the summer months where we had lunch or early dinner in fact I was there yesterday enjoying the relaxing atmosphere, enjoying the park and access to the lake for a swim. This villa was donated by a couple to the people of Stäfa so the lawns in front of the restaurant can be used by the public. For me a perfect summer day is to come to this restaurant for a meal and a swim in the lake, fantastic day out. I could imagine the setting would be great for a family celebration or friends getting together.

When it unexpectedly started to rain, the nicely set tables outside were moved to a separate room on the first floor, again nicely arranged, where we enjoyed...an excellent dinner with a continued very friendly service. The mixed salad, roast beef and desert can be highly recommended

I have been traveling in Switzerland for the summer and went to meet up with one of my old family friends. When I asked where we should go for a good Sunday brunch, I was informed of this beautiful restaurant on Lake Zürich, The Villa Sunneschy. When we got there I was amazed at the beautiful view of the nearby park and over Lake Zürich. The park was perfect for my young cousin who is five and allowed him to run around while we enjoyed the brunch. The Brunch was in and of itself another wonder. The food here was amazing from the buffet of cereals, bread, meats, cheeses, to the hot food like pork and potato gratin. Everything tasted so good and I was surprised to find out here was also an option to order different kinds of eggs and hot food based on one’s liking. I wish there was a restaurant like this where I live because with the food and ambience the way it was, I would probably eat there so often! I have booked a dinner reservation for the day before I leave and if the food is as good as their Sunday brunch, I will continue to recommend as many people as possible to this fine dining restaurant.

I had a mixed salad to start and Filet Mignon Medallions (Rindsfilet-Medaillons mit Portweinjus). The salat was great, my wife and I were craving for salat after having spent a week high up in the snowy mountains. The Filet Mignon Medallions were made to perfection and so was the specially ordered fried potatoes!!! One critic though…. The medallions were not 2 but merely 1 1/2, that said – I had enough to eat though .My Wife had Saltimbocca with Risotto (Tages-hit) , and she confirmed that here food was great too.I highly recommend a visit to beautiful Villa Sunneschy, I trust Beda and his team will surprise you with excellent food and a very nice ambiance.
