We were on a group tour and was booked into this Italian restaurant. You could see a beautiful view of the mountain and lake from the outside of the restaurant. It is cosily decorated with wooden tables and chairs. I had the risotto, lamb chops...and blueberries with vanilla ice cream it was all delicious indeed. Service was very nice and friendly. What Erminia Costa doesn't like about Engiadina:
Restaurant is small and uncomfortably noisy. To go to the restroom you need to go across the restaurant’s kitchen! The food is average as is the wine menu. Beware when paying your bill. They charge in Swiss Francs, that’s ok, and accept Euros, but the...exchange rate is on a 1 to 1 basis, which is unfair, arguing that this is the convertion rate in their restaurant. In diesem Restaurant gehen wir oft essen, da die Speisen ausgezeichnet sind und die Bedienung sehr freundlich.
Wir waren schon so oft hier: Jedes Mal erleben wir einen aufmerksamen und zuvorkommenden Service sowie eine ausgezeichnete Qualität der Speisen.
Ich war das erste Mal im Engiadina zum Mittagessen.Dass Restaurant ist nicht gross,dafür heimelig,gemütlich.Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.Speisekarte ist klein aber doch vielfältig.Ich hatte Spiess mit Country-Potatoes und GemüseKwalität der Speise war gut aber leider kaltdarum meine Note; BefriedigendServicepersonal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
We booked a table for dinner at this restaurant last week based on other reviews on TripAdvisor. The restaurant was in traditional style and welcoming. The service was excellent and couldn't be faulted. The meal was excellent and good value for money. We'll definitely go...back if we return to St.Moritz.
I think this is my first bad review for any restaurant, as it is pretty difficult for me to be harsh but here it was really a disaster. We booked the table in advance and when we arrived we were seated after waiting a short...time while the waiter was preparing the table. Already while being seated we felt that the waiter was not very friendly. But then the show started: we were ignored for 15 minutes to get even the menu! After waiting 10 minutes we made our orders and got our drinks served in another 15 minutes, but all our drinks were wrong! Overall we waited 40 minutes to get our drinks (from the moment of sitting down)! Then we got the bread after 45 minutes since we arrived and starters which were ok(barley soup was good). But then we had to suffer a bit to get the main, again 40 minutes of waiting after getting the starters. And that taken into account that the restaurant was getting pretty empty(of course, as we waited almost during the whole evening). The main dishes were nothing special, but too greasy to my liking. Once we received the bill, the waiters suddenly disappeared and we couldn’t even find them in the restaurant anymore, so we had to wait to pay. We are by all means not snobs and usually very forgiving but this here was too disappointing to stay calm.
