In a city where options for Vietnamese cuisine are limited, we were happy to find a place offering authentic flavors and friendly, family-style service. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The portion size felt a bit small for the price, and while the broth was satisfying, it lacked the depth and richness we’re used to from larger city pho spots. Several items on the menu were also unavailable that day, which was a little disappointing. Still, I genuinely recommend this restaurant. Compared to other small-town pho experiences — where being “the only option” sometimes leads to poor quality — Pho FM puts in real effort, and it shows. The space is clean and inviting, the owners clearly care about what they serve, and you can tell there’s heart in the food. If you’re in St. John’s and craving Vietnamese comfort food, Pho FM is absolutely worth a visit.
