So I ordered poutine and cod bits about a month ago asked for well cooked frys everything was ok but when it came to the end of the poutine the frys were stuck to the cardboard plate and the cod bits were cod jerky. So...I decided to give it another try figure it was just a bad day. Ok this time it was worse asked for well cooked frys none of them were very under cooked the wings were burnt and again I got cod jerky... View all feedback.

read moreBig R is a cozy, local spot known for its fish and chips. While some reviewers had mixed experiences with food quality and service, others praised the friendly atmosphere and delicious meals. The portions are generous and the homemade bread is a standout. The classic breakfast is a hit and the fish is a crowd-pleaser, making it a worthwhile visit for locals and visitors alike. Despite its worn furnishings, Big R charms with its authentic feel and satisfying dishes, making it a hidden gem in town for those looking for traditional comfort food.
