Delicious scallop and fish, and friendly attentive service. There is another menu for lunch and dinner, so I suggest checking before the menu is small (if I came there were no major vegetarian dishes). The appys were the show stoppers Scallop and Krabbe cakes were delicious and fresh! We also had the trout and cod, both cooked and very well seasoned! View all feedback.

New Years Eve so didn't expect the same quality food as it was a set menu, however, really disappointed. Portions were very small our server was more interested with individuals sat at the bar than our table. Drinks were good but overall a disappointing experience View all feedback.
We dined at Exile for an anniversary celebration with a party of four, and the entire experience was top-notch. The ambiance of the hotel, Jag, and the restaurant itself is truly 5-star. The unique and refreshing music theme creates a delightful atmosphere, perfectly situated in downtown. The service was remarkable; our server was both knowledgeable and courteous. Every aspect of our meal was exceptional, thanks to the attentive wait staff. The food was simply outstanding—flawlessly prepared and beautifully presented, leaving no room for complaints. The BBQ Beef Striploin with Old Sam and Pineapple Crush BBQ sauce was nothing short of phenomenal—easily among the top five steaks I’ve ever had, possibly even in the top three! I ordered it medium rare, and it arrived cooked to absolute perfection. My companions enjoyed the pan-fried cod, which was also a generous portion—fresh, flaky, and deliciously cooked. A special mention goes to the chef for the moose corn dogs, which my husband couldn’t stop raving about. Every course, from appetizers to coffee and dessert, was superb. We will definitely return and will happily recommend Exile to our friends and family.
This is the best place we've stayed at so far. I can't praise the staff, room, and food enough. I only wish there was a location in Nova Scotia!
Upon entering, you'll be warmly welcomed by the most friendly staff, setting the tone for a delightful experience. The rooms are fantastic—stylish, trendy, and impeccably clean. The bar exudes a lively atmosphere, and the food is truly exceptional. If you're planning a trip to St. John's, the Jag should definitely be your top choice.
