Szechwan - St. Charles
Szechwan
Description
Dining at this restaurant yields a mixed experience, with guests expressing disappointment over both food quality and hygiene. Many found their meals, including hot and sour soup and sesame chicken, lacking flavor and authenticity, raising concerns about the overall value. Moreover, a notable disregard for COVID-19 safety protocols has been alarming for patrons.
Conversely, others rave about delectable dishes like Szechuan prawns and pot stickers, praising attentive service and inviting atmosphere. While some return regularly for their favorites, the unsettling cleanliness issues and inconsistency in food quality may deter first-time visitors. Proceed with caution.

Beautiful atmosphere, and GOOD affordable food with a second story view of the town, delicious crab wontons, I'm looking forward to actually having my meal as I write this, but I had to say 5 stars alone, for all that. Update: the Mongolian beef isincredible
This is my favorite all-time Chinese restaurant. However I take out order recently have shrimp and Pea pods is really subpar. Did they get a new chef? Afraid to try them again. P pads were soggy and old/tasteless. The shrimp was Placed on top instead ofcooked in the mail. The sauce was watery and tasteless. Really disappointed
Food was tasty but the main course meal was too little and not enough. I paid $33 for a quart of egg drop soup a dinner portion of the crispy honey chicken and a order of fried rice too expensive.
Unfortunately, not the most satisfying meal for $60 that we've had. Hot n Sour soup was not hot nor sour. Mostly egg, no pork pieces or bamboo shoots. Entrees are overpriced for the quality. Sesame chicken didn't taste like sesame sauce- it was more likesweet-n-sour sauce. Broccoli side fell pretty flat, and shrimp lo mein didn't have traditional lo mein noodles. Flavorless aswell. It wasn't the worst we've had, but not close to the best. Overall, food was bland and underwhelming. Delivery driver drovewrecklessly through the neighborhood.
