We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Blackfly. I had the lobster and my husband had the Triggerfish. Both were cooked perfectly. The owner was on hand and stopped by the table 3 times to make sure all was to our satisfaction. They even threw in a complimentary slice of margarita pie which was wonderful. What OpenTable Diner doesn't like about Blackfly St Augustine:
The only suggestion for improvement would be to have more attentive waitstaff. My friend's tea glass went empty, and we had to flag down our waiter after a lengthy wait. Then, he forgot to bring the refilled tea. Later, our water glasses were also empty, and once again, we had to get his attention for refills. When he did refill them, they came without ice, resulting in lukewarm water.

Menu has gone downhill since it opened. Over salting of entrees had grilled shrimp had to be sent back. Bread basket was terrible no selection but dry stale baguette for 4 of us. Presentation has also suffered. Will not be returning except for the pizza.
Excellent service! Food was great all around . We shared p margarita pizza that was delicious!
Food and service were excellent. Waiter was knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. He apologized for food runner’s bringing entrees when appetizers and salads had just arrived. Fir to new staff. Waiter regularly checked to make sure all was well and to see If anything was needed. . Definitely will visit again. A+
This was our first time went for my husband’s birthday with my cousins. Was NOT impressed with the food, at all. I had the Scallop dish which was so bland I asked for EVOO pepper flakes, for taste. My husband cousin had the surf turf which was supposed to be with filet tips shrimp they had to cut the small pieces of filet with a knife it was tuff. The shrimp was small dried out. My other cousin had the chicken cordon bleu the portion was very small. We were very dissatisfied disappointed, especially since we heard fantastic reviews. Not sure if we’ll go back. But our server, Ireland, was an absolute doll. So attentive on the ball. She’s a keeper. Thank you, Ireland.
We had the scallop entree and blue crab with pasta, not delicious!
