I ordered takeout, and while I understand that food might lose some freshness, I’ve had takeout from other places that still tasted great the next day, so that doesn’t excuse the poor quality. Everything was dry and hard to eat. The vegetable fried rice barely had any vegetables—just one piece of carrot. The sweet and sour chicken had more sauce stuck to the container than on the chicken itself. The menu said an order of crab rangoons included three pieces, but I only got two. This was my first time trying Max Orient, and it won’t be my last, but not in a good way. With so many better Chinese spots nearby, I won’t be coming back, and this experience only made me appreciate those other places even more.

More bad... read more Usually love this place and the portion sizes are generous but the last few months the chicken quality has declined to a bunch of tough, fatty pieces. More bad than good at this point. Rice is still solid though. I just think they started ordering cheaper chicken. Hope this gets resolved.
