Overall, most of the staff at Magro's Meat are fairly friendly. However, I noticed some items on the shelves seemed old. For example, I bought bread that appeared to have been sitting there for over a week. I also tried their frozen teriyaki chicken, which turned out to be completely bland. On the bright side, their deli meats were quite good. Unfortunately, prices were $2 to $4 higher than other stores, which was a bit off-putting. The place reminded me of a New York bodega with many outdated products. While the chicken and fish were frozen, the red meat section looked decent, though I don't eat red meat myself. Based on this experience, I’m unlikely to return. Paying for stale bread was a dealbreaker for me.
The staff is highly knowledgeable, and they provide a great selection of both fresh and frozen meats. The place has a nostalgic charm that brings to mind classic mom-and-pop shops.
