Doe's Eat Place - Springfield

A bit disappointed in their tamales and chili, but the porterhouse steak was phenomenal, as were the fries.We had reservations for 7:00 pm and arrived five minutes early and were seated in moments. When we made reservations, we were told that the kitchen prioritized the orders of those with reservations. This appears to be true, as we were enjoying our main course long before those around who had been seated prior to our arrival.Our waitstaff, Jenna, was courteous and attentive. All the waitstaff we're wearing masks.Our salads were very fresh and tasty. The fries were delicious and the the steak was perfectly prepared.

This place was very expensive for what you get -very sub par food. I got the so called world famous tamales they tasted just like the Hormel canned tamales ? They bring out fried canned biscuits like I used to make when I was 12?. The steak was tender and cooked to the right temperature, but didn 't have any flavor. We were pretty disappointed. We 'll never go back. The only positive was the service. Our waitress was excellent and very sweet.

Nice restaurant, great service, and atmosphere. Clean and delicious food. Have ate at numerous steak restaurants and just think the prices are a little overboard.

Very disappointing meal and customer service. We waited a long time to place order, a long wait to get our food, then we were rushed to eat and pay 45 minutes before they closed.

The broiled shrimp plate was excellent. Well seasoned and flavorful. They have a diverse menu that can fit a lot of different cravings.
