Was Anonym at Thai On First a mag?
I absolutely love this place! I can't believe it's not always crowded; there should be a line out the door. I have been addicted to their panang chicken for ten years; it's absolutely amazing. However, the decor could be better, and I wish they had longer hours. If I ever met the owners, I would simply say thank you. Thank you. I started cooking Thai food over ten years ago after falling in love with their food and n... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Thai On First:
The authenticity of the food could some improvement. The pad see eew might be better served with khanna (Thai kale) instead of broccoli, and with a bit thicker sauce. View all feedback.
The service at this restaurant is very friendly and the food is delicious! The spiciness is authentic, so if you can't handle spice like me, a level 2 will be your limit!
As a Seattle native, I believe I have a good understanding of what authentic phad thai should taste like. The phad thai from this restaurant was delicious. It had a nice balance of sweet and savory flavors. They used thin rice noodles which were not typical, but worked well in the dish. I would rate this restaurant close to a 3-star rating. Although the dish was not overly dry, it also wasn't very saucy. I would definitely consider returning to try more dishes.
I would dare to say this is the best pad thai in spokane. we had a pretty big order for the office and the owners had it ready for us when they opened, and helped me to carry it all to my car. it was all perfectly packed and tasty! they also have accommodated our gluten-free and vegan eater and also without hesitation!
I ordered the red curry with pineapple. I am usually disappointed by the lack of heat when I order curry elsewhere, so I ordered a level up (can't remember the number). It was truly spicy and I loved it. Thankfully I had an order of rice to help in between bites. I had a real good conversation with the owner while my order was prepared. I would definitely recommend Thai on 1st!
