Description
**Mr. Wok: A Mixed Farewell in Spokane's Chinese Cuisine Scene**
Mr. Wok in Spokane presents a tantalizing array of flavors, yet experiences greatly vary among diners. While some savor its fresh offerings, likening the meals to comforting home-cooked dishes, others have encountered inconsistencies that deter repeat visits. Complaints range from cooking mishaps—such as overly hot or cold meals and strangely colored sauces—to insufficient protein portions in dishes like Kung Pao Chicken. Despite the enthusiastic praise for attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere, the question remains: can Mr. Wok maintain its reputation amidst such polarizing feedback? Food lovers may need to weigh their options carefully.

Ordered Kung Pow Chicken and this is what I got. A plate of huge vegetable chunks with a few pieces of chicken mixed in. I was told they could make another plate with more chicken but not without vegetables. First and last time with this place. If I want a plate of vegetables, I'll order it. Plain and simple. I ordered chicken, so give me chicken.
Picked up a to go order that included sweet and sour pork, the sauce was definitely off. It had a metallic taste and was bright pink not the normal color. Honestly it put me off their food and I will now just travel further to go to a more consistent place on Sprague..
There is no better Chinese spot in Spokane than Mr. Wok! the food tastes fresh and not like it has been sitting for hours. It felt like I was eating a home cooked meal; it was that fresh. To the people saying the food didn't taste as good as they wanted to is because Mr. Wok doesn't let the food sit around all day and in oil and grease. It is actually good food and cooked fresh. Not like the stale garbage that I got at China Dragon the other day. Mr. Wok is hands down the best in Chinese in Spokane!
