In this very small restaurant you get a fantastic, authentic Croatian kitchen. The menu covers a small variety of dishes, but they are freshly prepared and really tasty. You can even watch the cook preparing your food while you are enjoying your drinks. Nice waiter! View all feedback.

Had Squid and Fava beans. Price is reasonable, though the portion size is too large for one person. Restaurant owner can explore option of having a smaller (by 25% portion. Taste was great.
What a gem in the old town of Split! Split Roast is a true coffee lover's paradise. After months on the road, I felt like I was made of coffee beans myself. This place only opened two months ago, so I had the pleasure of buying directly from the source. The owner, Ivan, was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me choose the perfect roast. His expertise and passion for coffee were evident, and he assured me that he regularly rotates his roasts to keep things fresh. I enjoyed a delicious Boji Ethiopia roast paired with vegan "milk" in this clean and minimalist coffee corner. Ivan uses a Sanremo coffee machine and expertly pulled a few perfect espresso shots for me. He was friendly and polite, making my experience here perfect. I loved everything about this place so much that I stopped by before closing time to order a Ghost Americano with Brazilian beans. It was the perfect icy treat, allowing the coffee flavor to shine through. I'll definitely be back before we leave tomorrow morning. I wish Ivan all the best with his new venture and hope that this fantastic coffee corner stays around for a long time. Don't miss out on Split Roast if you're in town - it's a must-visit for any coffee enthusiast!
Wow! This restaurant serves homemade dishes just like my grandmother used to make. I tried the stuffed cauliflower which was delicious, and it was served with amazing potatoes that rivaled my own Italian family recipe. The flavors were authentic and not like what you find in most restaurants. I appreciate the limited menu with seasonal specials. The portion sizes were generous, the prices were affordable, and the staff recommended a delicious local wine to accompany my meal. The bread basket came with amazing homemade bread. This is the best spot for local cuisine in the Palast area. The restaurant is small with two family tables inside and smaller tables outside on the terrace. I highly recommend stopping by if you have the chance. It's a popular spot among locals and will be open in the coming season as well.
I had the goulash of squid and fava beans. Complementary whole grain bread with olive oil from a nearby island. This charming place was highly recommended by my local friends here in Split. The meatballs (polpete) are another amazing dish worth trying.

We were looking for authentic traditional Croatian food and stumbled upon this restaurant. It was the best decision we made in Split! If you want a local experience and a delicious meal, this is the place to go. The restaurant is a hidden gem on Obrov Street, with spectacular food and friendly staff. We are Australian and highly recommend this place to everyone. Although seating is limited, it is definitely worth the wait. We can't wait to return to this beautiful restaurant - a rare find in Split. 10/10!

I am not knowledgeable about coffee brewing, but I found an unusual substance in my cup that I assume was related to the oat milk. It appeared to be a solid lump that may have split or gone bad. I stopped drinking once I noticed it. The taste was average, nothing extraordinary. The staff member was friendly and helpful, which brightened my morning. The prices were typical, although I cannot recall the exact amount I paid.
I discovered a hidden gem in the old town of Split! Split Coffee Roasters is a true coffee roaster that is passionate about their craft. I stumbled upon this place while traveling and in need of coffee beans. Luckily, they had just opened two months prior and I was able to buy directly from them! The owner, Ivan, was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me choose the perfect roast. He has years of experience in roasting coffee and it truly shows in the quality of his products. Ivan mentioned that he will be regularly changing up the roasts, so you'll never get tired of the flavors. I bought some beans and had them ground for pour over, and also tried a cup on the spot. The BOJI EHTIOPIA roast was amazing, especially when paired with vegan oat 'milk'. They use a Sanremo Coffee Racer machine that pulls perfect espresso shots. Ivan was friendly, polite, and very accommodating. The atmosphere of the coffee corner was clean, fresh, and minimalist - the perfect place to enjoy a good cup of coffee. I loved everything about this place so much that I came back before closing time to try an iced Americano with the PE DE CEDRO BRAZIL bean. It was delicious and full of flavor, not watered down by the ice. I will definitely be visiting one more time before leaving in the morning. I wish Ivan all the best with his new coffee corner. I hope he stays around for a long time so I can enjoy more amazing coffees from Split Coffee Roasters on my future visits to Split. You can find them at Trogirska 8 in Split, Croatia.
