Wimpy UK - Spelthorne
Wimpy UK
Description
Wimpy in Ashford offers a mixed bag of dining experiences, reflecting both nostalgia and disappointment. While some patrons reminisce about the classic burger joint charm and the revamped, clean decor, others express frustration over subpar food quality and service inconsistencies. Many have found the burgers lacking in flavor or incorrectly prepared, while the absence of iconic menu items like milkshakes has left customers wanting. However, some diners appreciate the friendly staff and decent portion sizes, suggesting a potential for improvement. Ultimately, the restaurant stands at a crossroads, balancing its classic identity with modern expectations.

This is my go-to place when I visit Ashford. It is spotlessly clean. The food is fabulous, freshly made and hot (it hasn't been sitting around) and the staff are friendly and welcoming.. I can't praise it highly enough!
One of the smartest, most updated Wimpy restaurants I’ve ever seen. Very clean and tidy premises indeed. Service was rapid and Quarter Pounder with Bacon and Fish Finger Burger were both very good indeed.
Hadn’t been in a Wimpy for many years, and was pleasantly surprised that it hasn’t changed much, although the Wimpy Beefeater man was no longer a feature! (I said it was many years). It was not busy and we were provided with menus as soon as we sat down. I ordered the Wimpy kingsize burger fries for main, and a Eskimo Waffle for dessert. Burger arrived and was hot, and, looked almost like the picture on the menu. Good sized portion of fries to go with it as well. Managed to clear my plate and just found enough room for the delicious dessert. Washed it down with a cup of reasonable coffee all for around £15. Restaurant was spotless and staff were polite and efficient. Would go again.
As usual great food and friendly staff loving the refurb looks fresh and vibrant. Had my usual pork bender and chips and it was divine
I was very disappointed when I visited Ashford Surrey to see my best friend. I was expecting it to be similar to the old Wimpy bars, but I was let down. The burger was basic with no fried onions, and there were no milkshakes available. I tried a cola float, but it was not what I remembered. I won't be returning to this restaurant.
