Achilles Greek Grill - Sparta

I was so excited to try this place. I had heard such good things. We decided to try it this past Sunday. I took my mother because she also enjoys Greek. The server was very quiet very laid back. They were out of Tabbouleh which was disappointing to mom. I ordered a chicken plate. It came with rice which I asked for on the side, grilled chicken, a Greek salad, and pita bread. Mom orderd grape leaves, veggies, hummus and pita bread. The pita bread was delicious. Mom said the grape leaves were also very good just wish it wasn't such a large order. My chicken probably the best chicken I'd ever eaten at a restaurant. It was tender and juicy. Delicious. Greek salad was good but didn't have a lot to it after I removed tomatoes and onion. The ranch was full of flavor and made a great addition to the chicken and salad. I also ordered fried squash it was so yummy but a little greasy. The rice came on my plate which I gave to mom. She enjoyed her meal.The only reason I gave this a 4 and not 5 is because of this. We need to have a serious discussion. The hummus, had ZERO flavor and was very runny. Mom said it tasted like they had also run out of hummus so they mixed it with water and called it a day. Worst hummus I've ever had. The main reason I wanted to go there was tzaziki I was craving it so bad but unfortunately their tzaziki was not up to par either. It had no flavor whatsoever. I was very disappointed. Worst tzaziki I ever had. If they would just get the consistency and flavors right in their hummus and tzaziki they would give some of the most expensive Greek restaurants a run for their money .

Food is always good. Waitresses have always been friendly, helpful, and checking on us without being over bearing. I love this place!!!

Go here ASAP. Friendly staffEvery effort to please. AND they abide by the rules carded this grandma!! Nice selection of ?to enhance my gyro. All sorts of fries available. Go for breakfast,lunch of dinner !

It was my first time eating at Achillies, a great place to sit down to eat and have some drinks, it was a great experience the food was great the waitress was awesome the cook came out to check on us and how the food was. The prices are reasonable it's a place worth checking out. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

The waitress was very nice. the food I found not to have tasted much. I ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich plate. the first 4 bits were all bread! the paprika and wobbles were visible, but completely tasteless. will I have ordered the same? abslutely, would I return to a second meal? only in case there were no other decisions!
