However, we s... read more I went to Roost for a birthday dinner, and everything started off well. We were served cocktails and appetizers promptly, and they were delicious. However, we soon experienced a strong and overwhelming smell of lavender that lingered near our table. We ended up waiting over an hour for our main courses. Unfortunately, the smell impacted my experience, altering the taste of my food and making it hard to enjoy my meal when it finally arrived. This definitely put a damper on the evening, and I left feeling let down. I'm not sure what caused the unpleasant odor, but it was truly unfortunate. Roost is usually one of my favorite places, but this time it didn't meet expectations.

I ordered the veal... read more Another wonderful dinner experience! This restaurant just keeps getting better every time we visit. The cozy, chic atmosphere is delightful. I ordered the veal chop special, and it was by far the most tender chop I've ever had. My wife chose the salmon and raved that it was the best she’s ever tasted—perfectly crusted outside and incredibly tender inside. Our waitress was the sweetest as well!

The staff is very attentive and friendly having a good knowledge of the preparation on the dishes. The bar staff have a delicious bar menu that can be great mocktails as well. At times they bring a variety of entertainment to the upstairs venue. Classical, pop, Jazz and Latin music; there is enough room to salsa dance when the Latin music is available. Separate cover for entertainment shows.

You feel like your away in a New Orleans meets Manhattan vibe The best well planned meals and menu You have to get the shrimp and plantains The cocktail- lavender martini or road to Morocco The sides are heaven Steak is seasoned and cooked to perfection We love sitting at the bar or upstairs. I called Meliss... read more My friend and I finally decided to try Roost. Even though we had a reservation for 7:30, we were running late due to difficulty finding parking. I called Melissa to let her know we'd be a few minutes behind, and she reassured me it was no problem. We certainly indulged that night with drinks, appetizers, a main course, and dessert drinks. While the atmosphere was a bit noisy, the fresh and delicious food made up for it! The drinks are crafted with homemade syrups, and everything felt incredibly fresh. I had the blue crab soup, which was simply exceptional. The sea bass special was delicious and had a perfect crispy crust. My friend ordered shrimp and plantains, and they were outstanding! The service was a bit slow, but I think that was because they were focused on getting everything just right. I appreciate that level of care! Our server, Maureen, was professional, friendly, calm, and personable. Overall, we were thrilled with our first experience at Roost and will definitely be back.
