Standard Chinese takeout. I was hoping for really good egg rolls (I grew up in NY and miss good egg rolls), but they were just so-so. I had the roast pork with broccoli and the roast pork appetizer and it was great. My friends had their local favorites: lemon chicken and wonton soup. View all feedback.
What Glen Zygmuntowicz doesn't like about Cai Hong:
I don't like to make bad reviews, but I won't be back. Service was normal, I guess. I was kind of afraid to eat the food. It tasted below average. Their restaurant is very old and doesn't give much confidence that you're going to get a good meal. I got a lot of boneless spareribs, but I'd rather get half and have the fat trimmed off. I know it's the off-season, but the food just seemed old. View all feedback.
My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for 15+ years. And every time we order, we are met with amazing service, food and kindness! This place has the best chinese food in Southold!
So far we've picked up several times and the food was delicious. You get double the amount other places give you.The lemon chickenLo meinSpare ribsFried wontonsCheese wontonsShrimp and lobster sauceDuckRoast porkAnd anything else we ordered several times was deliciousI however wish they had homemade crispy noodles rather than the prepackaged which i find rather strange. They give you free wontons or cheese wontons or both depending on your total .
