The pub was fantastic with great food and music. We reserved a table for dinner that happened to be right next to the live music. The staff happily accommodated us and moved us to a different table where we could still enjoy the music. The food was delicious, and we had a great time in a wonderful atmosphere. View all feedback.
What Edwin Lauer doesn't like about Platform Tavern:
Very disappointing. My wife and I have been here a few times and eaten here on one occasion before. On this occasion, the room was cold, a number of items were unavailable and the elderly newzealanders who accompanied us were upset by the loud drunken swearing from the next table. The fish chips one of us had was a greasy disaster and the ‘roast’ was tepid. A shame, we used to like the place. View all feedback.
Came for the music and expected their ordinary pub-grub, but was completely amazed at the quality provided. Yes, it's a bit rough about the edges, but that's all part of his charm. two Santana covers in one night there are 5 stars anyway. go for the music, but be amazed by the food
A fantastic ploughmans lunch on the platform tavern today. the best we saw in the city. perfect for sharing. excellent beer and melodies as always.
A lovely, if cramped, small pub near the Town Quay terminals.
Southampton seriously lacks pubs with individuality.
A great selection of rotating cask ales, pleasant menu and a beautiful building.
