I was expecting a 'homely country pub ' but found a large, characterless space filled with tables and chairs. Sunday menu was lacking... no vegetarian option for the roast, just vegetable Lasagne. I am GF...my roast was just lacking what others had rather than substituted. Nowadays GF stuffing, Yorkshire Pudding etc is easy to come by so no excuse in my opinion. Two staff were friendly enough although one of them kept shouting table numbers loudly...very odd. The third, an older lady seemed irritated when asked for extra sauces... didn 't raise a smile once during our meal. I remember this pub from my teens and maybe my nostalgia has affected my experience. Not again for me sadly as good GF food should be easy to come by.
