We visited this restaurant for some evening drinks. Although we had already eaten elsewhere, the food looked delicious and we regretted not trying it. We sat outside and enjoyed the warmth from the heaters. The drinks were tasty and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. View all feedback.
What eleanorl576 doesn't like about The Pig:
We saw they had gluten free options on their menu which where highlighted with GF next to them. However, when I asked about gluten free and said I was coeliac, they decided they wouldn't serve me. They said food is fried in the same oil and the kitchen was too small to guarantee it would be free from cross contamination. You should not advertise gluten free if you cannot cater for it. Unplanned visit after the fish chip shop nearby had run out of GF batter. Very glad we fell upon here as we had some increasingly GF fish and chips. Generous portions and beautifully fried chips, very tasty. Friendly and helpful staff. Only downside was the fire was on which was nice at first but once it was busy it became very hot and we had to leave before getting dessert as I couldn’t remove anymore layers.
Unexpected lunch delight! Fantastic food, particularly the pulled pork roll with crackling. Friendly service. Don’t be put off by the cactus!
Fantastic food, friendly staff, super safe and great value. The bobotie was best I've had, well aside from one I had in Swellendam!

Both of our meals although different were outstanding. Our server was a great guy, knowledgeable and pleasant. Great experience and would definitely return. Many thanks.
