Let's Sea - South Gate
Let's Sea
Description
Let Sea in South Gate is an unpretentious Viet‑Cajun seafood gem offering generous, flavorful boils and great value—think shrimp bags and Sea Baskets with corn, potatoes, sausage and garlic bread, plus mango dessert and Thai iced tea. Service is typically friendly and attentive and the owner has gone above and beyond for customers, though spice levels can be inconsistent and some sides/sausage occasionally miss the mark. A top pick for seafood lovers seeking big flavor without breaking the bank.

I always come here to eat because it’s a favorite spot for my family! The service started off really well, but things took a turn towards the end. I ordered my dish mild, while everyone else asked for extra spice and even extra extra spice, but it ended up being not spicy at all. They served the shrimp on top, but there were also many heads at the bottom of the dish. My dad tried to explain the situation to the waiter, but the waiter got upset and insisted my dad still had to pay. When my dad asked to speak to the owner, the waiter responded that he had the right to speak and we had to pay. My brother eventually stepped in to calm things down. They offered us a discount, but I only ended up eating about 10 shrimp while there were around 13 heads left in the dish. They really need to improve their customer service and reassess their pricing.
First time here, the food was great and the service was very friendly. Something happened that was very impressive. Near closing a guy came from out side asking if there was any left over food. The manager/owner said they didn't have any left overs, but instead offered to make him dinner for free.... that deserves 5 stars, there are decent people out there. ? ? to Let Sea.
Good food! Price was great. We got our food pretty quick Would definitely recommend to someone who wants fast food tasting seafood
I was brought here by an LA native to show me the quality of Viet Cajun style seafood (Houston Tx style seafood) here in LA.Let's Sea has some great seasoned seafood! I was really impressed, and my unbiased rating would put this place in my top 5 boiled seafood spots. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars and this place isn't in my top 2 of all time was because of the andouille sausage and the potatoes. The sausage had the taste similar to the lower quality sausage you find at the grocery store. I thought the potatoes were initially undercooked, but the more I ate them, I felt like it was more of a fibrous texture, I had my date taste, and she confirmed, too.Either way, this place was really good, and I will definitely come back to try it again. I didn't have any of the Thai food, but I lived in Thailand for a year, and the food reminded me of being back in Bangkok. What a gem, and a must try spot!
