Great vibes and great beer on tap, all reasonably priced! We watched the Lakers vs. Warriors game 6 there and when Austin Great White Hope Reeves hit the half court 3, the place erupted. On Friday, they have karaoke on the patio, which was a wonderful surprise for us. There was also a food truck, which rotates daily. Would definitely recommend to watch the game and have a drink! View all feedback.
What Brad B dislikes about Progress Brewing:
The website indicated that dogs were welcome, but when I arrived, a security guard in tactical gear stopped me at the entrance and said, "No dogs." I mentioned that the website said otherwise, but he just repeated his "no dogs" response. It was quite disappointing. They really need to update their website and hire a doorman with better manners. I visited Progress for the first time and had a fantastic experience. I'm smitten with the bartender, Katie. She's a beautiful and fun person who really knows how to mix drinks!
The restaurant has fantastic drinks and a great atmosphere. They feature rotating food vendors, so be sure to check out their Instagram for updates. It's owned by a UCLA graduate, which adds an interesting backstory—look it up! Stop by; you definitely won't regret it!
There are some gaming machines near the entrance and a spacious outdoor patio, where they sometimes set up a TV as well. Overall, it’s a fantastic brewery to visit, grab a flight, and relax with friends. There are usually two or three bartenders, so be patient as they work to serve everyone. A line can form at the bar, so it’s smarter to get in line early for quicker service. Don’t forget about Hoppy Hour from 3 to 6! Go Dodgers! P.S. I really hope they bring back the Chamango!
They offered a wide selection of beers at reasonable prices; my boyfriend paid just $18 for three beers. There were arcade games available, but unfortunately, the change machine was out of order during our visit. They had some board games as well, but the selection was limited, and we ended up playing Apples to Apples. A live DJ was outside blasting music, which left my boyfriend a bit disappointed since he wanted to play some tunes on the indoor TouchTunes jukebox. It was also an extremely hot day, and there was only one fan, which we weren’t sitting near. We eventually moved to a shaded area outside where there was a pleasant breeze. There was a food truck nearby with delicious smells wafting around, but since we had just eaten lunch, none of us were hungry.
Google Maps directed us to the location across the street, and we initially thought it was closed. Luckily, we discovered the correct spot just in time because it turned out to be a great place to hang out! The interior has some board games, and we had a lot of fun playing Apples to Apples. However, it was a bit warm inside. I do appreciate that they offer outdoor seating. It would be a nice touch if they had misters outside and more fans inside. The beer we ordered was quite good!
