What PeteC likes about Captains Table St Ives Cornwall:
We always go to the Captain’s Table when we visit St Ives. We booked for Monday and had a lovely meal at a window table. Had monkfish and prawn Thai Red Curry and catch of the day which was excellent. Booked again for this evening with the same excellent window seat. My wife had Mac and cheese very good. I had “our very special fish pie” extremely disappointing. An inch and a half of tasteless mashed potato on a quar... View all feedback. We booked in as we’d previewed the menu only was looking forward to the seafood platter, however, when we arrived, we were advised they’d sold out. read moreRecently visiting this restaurant, we were enticed by their seafood platter but found the quality to be inconsistent. The mussels were top-notch, while the scallops were disappointing. Service was good and the staff were helpful. Although the food was average, the atmosphere and stunning views of the harbour made up for it. This cozy restaurant, located above the famous Sloop Inn, offers a selection of delicious dishes at reasonable prices. Despite some minor hiccups in service, the overall experience was enjoyable and we would consider returning in the future. A solid choice for a meal in St Ives.
