We always go to the Captain’s Table when we visit St Ives. We booked for Monday and had a lovely meal at a window table. Had monkfish and prawn Thai Red Curry and catch of the day which was excellent. Booked again for this evening with the same excellent window seat. My wife had Mac and cheese very good. I had “our very special fish pie” extremely disappointing. An inch and a half of tasteless mashed potato on a quar... View all feedback.
What SophieBilly doesn't like about Captains Table St Ives Cornwall:
We booked in as we’d previewed the menu only was looking forward to the seafood platter, however, when we arrived, we were advised they’d sold out. Definitely worth a visit, the food is amazing, good choice of food and drinks, lovely staff very friendly, not expensive, lovely view over the harbour, We will be back
Lovely restaurant with an atmospheric decor, the low ceilings and lights made it feel very authentic! The staff were lovely and so friendly! The food was delicious, the portions were great size and reasonably priced, would definitely return!
A real hidden gem of a restaurant. Small, stylist with a lovely ambiance. Great local food well presented and cooked. Good portion sizes. Staff were very knowledgeable and clearly loved their job. The service was excellent.
This cozy restaurant has a great menu. The food arrived piping hot and the staff were friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back again.
Only made a reservation on the day but definitely worth booking ahead as the food is so good. The downside is parking is a nightmare in St Ives, there is a small car park behind the restaurant but it’s not easy to access. Anyway, all that said, we both had steak which was lovely with all the perfect accompaniments, button mushrooms, onion rings, nice fresh plain salad love that carrot and onion also in there) Meals came with a free bottle of wine so very good value for quality food. Good friendly staff, very efficient, quirky little place with a stairway up , watch out for the low ceiling!
