Sea Chest - Sooke

By FAR the best EVER ice cream I’ve ever had! I’ve travelled a lot and have had a lot of really good ice cream, this was the most superior by a long shot. The flavour combinations are very unique and unexpected (we tried a Coriander raspberry flavour). The sweetness level is perfect. If you love ice cream and are in Vancouver island, you’d owe it to yourself not to try this hidden gem!

Totally worth finding this place for an afternoon ice cream treat! Everything is completely homemade and absolutely delicious. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming. There's a few nice places to sit and enjoy your ice cream sandwich outside. My only downside, I guess, would be the size of the ice cream sandwich. You definitely get a large portion for $9.50, but we all found it to just be too much all at once. None of us in my group could finish the ice cream sandwich, and we all ended up throwing out about 1/4 in the trash because we just couldn't finish it. I would have preferred something smaller for a lesser price. That being said, it's worth the drive out there for sure. Go check it out!

These are the BEST ice cream sandwiches I have EVER had! I am not even from the island but I’ve now made it my mission to come down to Sooke every summer just so I can get these. We got Salted Caramel with Chocolate and a Lavender flavour. Both were delicious! Honestly, I’m sure any flavour is good because the quality of the ice cream is just SOOO yummy. Can’t wait to have these again very soon!

These ice cream sandwiches are to die for!!!! My husband and I loved them so much we had them for our dessert (instead of cake at our wedding! Mouette was an absolute gem to work with she was so sweet to us, even gave us a couple free ice cream bars when we arrived to pick up our order day before our wedding : The ice cream sandwiches were a huge hit with everyone our guests LOVED them! Our venue cut the sandwiches into smaller pieces so everyone could taste multiple flavours. It worked out perfectly.
