Fantastic place! Always great service and a welcoming atmosphere. It might be loud with the live music, but the craic is great.
Do yourself a favor and try the fried mushrooms! We are new to the area and took a chance on a new place for a burger. Food was very good. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. My only complaint was it was very warm inside, but it’s summer.
I don’t know why this place is rated so high. Giving 4 stars because they are currently at 4.5, and I think they deserve to get taken down a notch and get real. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fine for what it is and the live Irish music is outstanding, but it’s just a normal dive bar where straight dudes in patagonia vests go and yell to compensate for the bad acoustics in the building. The fact that the chase bank across the street which has been nothing but professional and kind to me is sitting at 3.7 stars while this freakin place is 4.5?? No way buddy. You can get an IPA at red bone’s barbecue right across the street for cheaper if that’s your thing. It’s just a destination for local yuppies and a totally unremarkable bar. I saw a cover band in the back room doing a cover of The Black Eye’s Peas’ “I Got A Feeling”. Make of that what you will. A year or two ago my good friend Julia saw someone get sucker punched in the booth right next to them for no discernible reason. “Blood everywhere” Julia. I’m sure that there’s more to the story but really, come on guys! “I wouldn’t be surprised to see it again” Julia. I don’t know if I’d go that far, I haven’t seen any acts of violence with my own eyes but believe their account nonetheless.
The beer selection is extensive, which is relevant to those who don't order a pint o' gat every time. I received attentive and enthusiastic service this evening, as usual. Live music often, usually about 9:30, go later in the night than you mightusually. It's worthwhile. Great fries. Great Irish curry sauce. The sauce served with the fries was so good that I ordered thechicken curry, which was also quite delicious. True Irish pub and a killer at that. Ten out of ten, would (and do) recommend.
Only thing good about the place was love music. Drinks were absolute waste we were four friends and all of us equally hated our drinks. Service was disappointing. The waitress kept asking us if we would like the bill because her shift was getting overand we were only 30 min in. Good that your shift is getting over, but don’t spoil our fun. Pass it over to someone else. Weended up leaving the bar since we anyway hated the service, drinks and food.
