I recently stayed at The Row Hotel in Assembly Row, Somerville, MA for approximately one month and overall had a very positive experience. I was upgraded to a corner room which was significantly larger than the standard king rooms, and found the rooms to be well appointed and clean. Housekeeping was incredible and the staff were friendly and always willing to help with any needs. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided a great night 's sleep. This is a vital aspect of any hotel stay, and The Row Hotel exceeded my expectations in this area. Additionally, the hotel had numerous meeting and work spaces available, which were great for those who need to get some work done. The gym was well-equipped and provided a great way to stay active during my stay. The heated pool was also a great way to relax after a long day. The hotel is a four minute walk to the Orange Line. The only downside of my experience was that Elite members do not get free breakfast, only a $10 credit daily under the Lounge Access Guarantee. Marriott 's benefits guide states: If...property does not have a lounge or approved alternative, property to offer daily continental breakfast in restaurant for Member +1... Every other Autograph Collection hotel I have stayed at has offered breakfast credit that would cover the entire cost of a breakfast. In this case, a $25 daily credit would make sense.
We stayed in a room with two queen beds, and it was excellent—quiet and comfortable. For breakfast, you could choose between a buffet or ordering from the menu. We opted for the buffet both mornings, and it was fantastic with plenty of options to fill us up. The staff were friendly and very accommodating throughout our stay. We tried dinner at the hotel one night, which was good, although I felt there could be a bit more variety. However, we found something satisfying on the menu and definitely didn't leave hungry. The location is very convenient to the T (subway), making it easy to access museums and the Freedom Trail. The front desk staff were great guides as well. We also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, which was very relaxing. Overall, it was worth the price, and I hope to come back one day.
I was initially hesitant to book this hotel since it's not located in downtown Boston, but I really didn't need to worry. The hotel is modern and clean, and the staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. The area surrounding the hotel is vibrant and has a great atmosphere, and we never felt unsafe, even at night. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and outlet shops nearby. The distance from downtown Boston wasn't a problem, as there's a direct subway link to several city spots. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would certainly choose this hotel again.
The food was average, but the hosts were rude and seemed to have an air of entitlement. They appeared indifferent to the possibility of losing their jobs. I won't be returning to this restaurant.
They have the best breakfast in town! I strongly recommend this place if you're looking for a tasty breakfast in the Somerville area. They also provide a buffet on weekends. My personal favorites from the menu are the pancakes, eggs benedict, and the curried chickpea and quinoa bowl.
