The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous! I loved the crispy chicken khao soi! It wasn't too spicy, but there were condiments on the table to add extra heat. Both the Thai iced tea and Thai iced lime tea were delicious. The service was friendly and quick. The dishes arrived promptly. The restaurant is small but has a cute interior, and there was no wait around 2pm on a Saturday.

I will definitely return! Yesterday, I tried the boat noodle soup and Yen Ta four noodle soup. The flavors were okay but a bit bland compared to other Thai noodle restaurants I have tried in the US. We had to add some condiments to bring out more flavor. However, the stir-fried sukiyaki (special menu) exceeded my expectations and tasted just like in Thailand. The dish was packed with seafood and only cost around $11. It was delicious and affordable. I would still recommend this restaurant to those looking to try authentic Thai street noodles at a reasonable price.

Dakzen is a truly special restaurant. I highly recommend trying the Khao Soi - it's one of the best dishes I've ever had. It's creamy, spicy, and absolutely delicious. While they have many other tasty dishes on the menu, the Khao Soi is my favorite. The dining space is small, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. I usually visit for lunch, especially on a rainy day - the wait is usually shorter then. If you come during a busy lunch or dinner rush on a nice day, be prepared for a longer wait. However, the food comes out quickly once you're seated. They have a wait list system where you can reserve your spot and walk around while waiting. I highly recommend Dakzen - it's a 10/10 experience.

Favorite Thai place in Boston. Quality is very high. They have good chillies. Spice lovers need to come here.

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon to celebrate a birthday and had a great lunch! There was plenty of parking and seating at this time. It's hard to miss Dakzen's yellow exterior, and I liked the vibes inside as well bright, comfortably spaced tables, and good music. Khao soi $12.95): Flavorful, creamy coconut broth. The egg noodles were cooked well al dente), and I liked the crunchiness of the fried egg noodle ball. I would have preferred a soft boiled egg as is typically served with noodle dishes, and the chicken was dry, but I enjoyed this dish overall. Boat noodles $12.95): I liked this slightly more than the khao soi, but the flavor profiles are completely different, so you can't really compare the two. This dish tasted similar to Vietnamese pho but with a sweeter and more sour broth. The rice noodles were cooked well, and the pork was not as dry as the chicken was for the khao soi. I also enjoyed the crunchy, fatty pork rinds. Larb gai $12.95): This doesn't come with rice, so I ordered rice as a side for an extra $2.45. However, I was hoping the dish came with lettuce, as I think that's how I've typically seen it eaten. I thought this was going to be a salty dish, so I was pleasantly surprised that it had more of a zesty, citrusy taste. All of the dishes had a slight kick but were not nearly as spicy as I expected based on the number of chili signs on the menu. The portion sizes were great for the price, and our server was friendly.Pro tip #1: If you have leftover broth, it tastes great with rice.Pro tip #2: Bring cash for a 10% discount.I always order the same thing when I go to Thai places namely, pad Thai or pad see ew), so I'm happy that I got to try new dishes that I haven't seen elsewhere.
