Cattle Baron - Somerset West

Great service, fish and steak all very well prepared and good value. Atmosphere not busy and very clean . Rice was a bit cool and orange sauce on escargots and steak didn't work, tended to congeal. Overall average experience brought up by really good service.

I visited this restaurant on a Thursday for their lunch special. I ordered the chicken schnitzels for R89.99. I was hoping for better value for money as the food was mediocre. The flavors were average and the setting was nothing special. It took 15 minutes for our waiter to even take our drink order. The only positive feedback was that my friend's calamari special had a big portion size. Overall, there was nothing special about this place.

We had a great experience dining at Cattle Baron for Sunday lunch. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare, accompanied by delicious vegetables and golden fries. The bread was freshly baked and crusty, and the portion sizes were generous. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied and the dessert menu was also impressive.

The food and the service was really devine! we decided to eat on Sunday and really enjoyed eating. only a message to manager we have thought about turning around after we have seen the bad outer look from the side of the building. really neglected in the ground floor (other place) we found viehbaron with google maps and landed on the side with parking. but glad we're going on. Maybe something can be done?
