Each dish is so mouthwatering that you... read more This has become my favorite restaurant in the Cape. It’s a laid-back spot that serves incredibly delicious small plates. Each dish is so mouthwatering that you find yourself wishing someone would look away so you can lick the plates clean! The concept is all about sharing, allowing you to sample a variety of flavors. It’s best to bring along a few friends to help you tackle the menu. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. The manager, Jacques, is an outstanding host. He warmly welcomes you and is always ready to answer questions or help you navigate the menu alongside your waiter. The wine list is impressive, and as a wine enthusiast, I was thrilled to discover so many options I hadn't heard of before. Both times I visited, I enjoyed fantastic wines. I absolutely love Spek en Bone—what a wonderful addition to the restaurant family owned by Bertus Basson and Marelie!

Each dish was uniquely mind-blowing in its own right. The sautéed potato gnocchi with wild mushrooms was divine. Every bite was wonderfully robust and delicious.
