Description

Nestled in the heart of Stellenbosch, this historic hotel pairs Cape Dutch charm with modern comforts: sparkling, spacious rooms, generous breakfasts, a lively restaurant and bar, and attentive concierge and valet services. Guests praise the central, walkable location near shops, restaurants and wineries, and the romantic, quiet atmosphere. Minor downsides include inflexible booking/checkout policies and occasional unexpected surcharges for extra guests or transfers, plus small inconsistencies in some beverage offerings.

While the rooms and breakfast where wonderful, we had hard time to have the check-out date adjusted even if I requested that before the deadline reported on the booking. It seems they have a non flexible system to adjust that. It never happened to me before. It was also unpleasant that when I checked-in with another guest to stay with me, because I did not mentioned that at the booking, they charged us a little bit more that the standard website quote for a second guest....

The decor seamlessly blended the hotel's historical character with modern amenities. The bed was plush and inviting, the bathroom spacious and well appointed, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the room's design was evident. I particularly enjoyed the view of the hotel's beautifully landscaped garden from my window. 4. Culinary Delights Dining at the Oude Werf Restaurant was an unforgettable experience. The menu offered a delightful array of dishes that celebrated the rich culinary traditions of the region. The breakfast was a highlight, with a delectable spread of freshly baked pastries, artisanal cheeses, and locally sourced fruits. The wine list was extensive and highlighted the exceptional wines of the Stellenbosch region. 5. Perfect Location The hotel's central location in Stellenbosch makes it the ideal base for exploring this charming town and its surroundings.
