Great food great management! Ordered a takeaway and have to say the food is just as great as dining in! I was pleased they were able to remain open as I am a regular at the restaurant! Abz and the team are personable and nothing is too much effort for them! Highly recommend!
Best Indian restaurant in the area, no doubt about it. Always a safe place to collect from, not on any third party delivery platforms either.Zengz avoided the Help Out to Eat Scheme, they stuck with collection delivery only, this was a noble act to protect Staff Customers alike, rather than chase money which many other restaurants chose to do over safety.Some customers have short memories, but Zengz has a very large, loyal following which keeps coming back for more.
Unfortunately, on SEVERAL occasions now there have been issues. During Covid the manager has CRAMMED you in flouting any safety guidelines. Out takeaways have consisted of missing foods, uncooked foods or the wrong order. Don"t get me wrong we all make mistakes but the manage Abs at the Lode Lane restaurant is disgraceful. He most certainly will not except any criticism or complaint. He puts it straight back on the customer and becomes irate if you challenge him. He offers no apology. Shame really given the staff are pleasant and the food can be tasty. This is one restaurant I would not recommend but who knows if the managers learns a little more in the way of good customer care....there may be hope.
I had read the reviews and decided to try this place. To be honest I was very disappointed. Delivery of meal was an excessive amount of time. Wrong item received. Food bland and not very pleasant. Won't be using again.
Visited on the last Friday ahead of further restrictions (mixing of households). Service was a little slow for starters but worth the wait as we all really enjoyed our food and there were some different dishes on the menu. Lamb chop starters were excellent. Unlicensed and good prices, so a great value night out. Food was excellent and service was good with most waiters wearing masks. We were slightly uncomfortable however when we arrived about the comment 'don 't worry about masks '
