I typically don’t write reviews, but I believe fast food establishments deserve recognition when they elevate their standards. I walked in expecting a typical "Carl’s Jr." burger and was pleasantly surprised to find a genuine burger that tasted high-quality and delicious. They also served homemade ranch. My wife and I were driving through town on the way south and stopped for fuel. While there, we decided to pick up some food for the drive and stopped at Carl's Jr. The food, unfortunately, was a disappointment. My wife's Famous Star and Zucchini Bites were decent, but the bun on my Double Cheeseburger was stale and hard. My burger was also lacking enough sauce, so it was very dry. I usually have a very satisfying experience when I visit the Soledad Carl's Jr. The quality of service is commendable, and I enjoy seeing how well the daytime management collaborates with the staff. The dedication of the team to achieve customer satisfaction is clear, and I can't praise their efforts enough. A great manager leads by example, and my most recent interaction with the day shift manager was particularly enjoyable. The fast food here is prepared quickly and always meets my taste preferences.
The only positive aspect of this Carl's restaurant is its location, and perhaps the fact that the place is relatively clean. Unfortunately, everything else leaves much to be desired. They get your order wrong about half the time. The staff seems either too rushed to get orders out or simply indifferent, which is puzzling since the restaurant is rarely busy—perhaps that's why it stays clean, with so few customers around to cause messes. I frequently receive burgers missing the extra items I specifically paid for. For example, on my latest visit, I ordered a burger with extra tomato, and instead received a burger with nothing but meat, cheese, sauce, and bread—no tomato and no pickles, despite paying extra for them. I raised my rating to two stars mainly because the drive-thru service is relatively quick, and the cleanliness is commendable, but honestly, it deserves more like 1.5 stars. Since half-stars aren't an option, this is the rating I can give it.
