All-around one of the best dining experiences I have had while traveling. The place is cute and the staff is kind. It was my first time trying Bulgarian food and the shopska salad, tarator, and stew absolutely blew me away. I wish I lived in Sofia so I could eat here again. View all feedback.
What Y doesn't like about Under The Linden Trees:
This place has been recommended to me so many time, so the expectations were high. We had 4 main courses and some starters and there are a few things I can say: all 4 main courses were just lukewarm! Very strange! there were only 5 small pieces of meat in my entire dish (katino meze). Plus my dish was served like 10 mins before the rest, so we couldn't really eat all together... garlic bread was very nice and starter... View all feedback.
Delicious food, authentic atmosphere, slow service .....well food was brought and empty dishes were taken : no nice words , recommendations etc. But still a wonderful evening. (Even though my spinach schnitzel was not very warm
Incredible place! Real traditional Bulgarian food. The atmosphere is nice and traditional too. The service was incredibly helpful and friendly. I didn't know this place until last night, and now I believe it's one of the best restaurants in Sofia. Must-go for tourists if they want to try the real Bulgarian food. We had amazing starters and salads: shopska, bean soup, kyopolu (aubergine spread , lyutenitza (peppers spread , and the best one, sarmi (stuffed vine leaves . For the main, we had vegetarian Satch (they serve it sizzling!! , potatoes with dill and garlic, and pork skewers. Hmm, I want it all again, it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. They even have their own farm, where they source most of the ingredients! Even the meat is from their own livestock!
