Was Bob Saget at Alpine a mag?
I stayed at the Corduroy Inn and enjoyed a complimentary breakfast at this restaurant. The breakfast is made to order and is fantastic; I had shrimp and Italian grits. Later, we returned for dinner and I had a NY strip steak topped with blue cheese, served with mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus. It was, without a doubt, the best steak I've had in a long time. Review of The Line Shack bar upstairs: I visited today for a beer but couldn't tolerate the smell of vomit. I had seen a review from 11 months ago mentioning the same issue, and I just had the same experience. There seems to be a problem here. View all feedback.
We throughly enjoyed the Garlic and Brie appetizer, and you know they know what they're doing when they serve olive oil and balsamic with fresh warm bread. The real highlight though was the veal cooked and seasoned just right! A surprising authentic Italian gem in the Snowshoe West Virginia mountain village! Highly recommend!
My husband and I dined here for dinner. I had the sirloin with potatoes and asparagus. I enjoyed it though the steak was med well and I asked for med rare. My husband had the veggie lasagna he enjoyed it but felt it was heavy and kind of oily. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I may go here again while in Snowshoe another time.
The server is nice and hospitable, but a little slow. Although there were not many people, about three tables only. The food felt heavy, like southern food. No complaint about the flavors or presentation. They had the patio door open the entire time which made the inside full of flys. It would be nice if they had an air blowing curtain at the door, something similar to what you see at drug stores.
Fantastic food, excellent service, and a stunning atmosphere. Highly enjoyable experience!
