We reserved a time online... read more I?ve always enjoyed my time going to the Steak Pit until just recently when going for a special occasion, I had a terrible experience. We reserved a time online (which is what was recommended to us when we called ahead) arrived for our time and weretold that we didn?t have a reservation because their online booking system was down and that if we didn?t receive a confirmationemail (which the online reservation gives you the option to select whether you?d like a confirmation email or not), we would nothave a reservation. The host was very short and not very helpful. We eventually were able to book a time later that evening.The food was great, but the service previously set the wrong tone for the evening.

Th... read more I was pretty disappointed with the food. The twice baked potato was great and side salad was basic but great as well. The entrees is what did not impress me. The trout was good, but extremely small and not plated well at all. The steak was very chewyand not worth the price. We spent $200 on 2 entrees and the cheapest bottle of wine on the menu, and it was worth 1/2 the price.I felt like I was eating at Texas Roadhouse, not a fancy steak restaurant. I will likely not dine here again. Though we did notlike the food, the service was fantastic. Extremely friendly waitress and very attentive! The food did come out too fast whichrushed the experience, but they had no problem with us sitting at the table after we paid the bill to finish the wine.
