this is a place of two very different halves. the opposite is surrounded by wild fen land and wonderful walks along the river. the other half is a complex of beautiful shops, art galleries, dining places and concerts, this is the home of suffolk music above all benjamin britten) something for everyone and a place to enjoy some hours, whatever their taste. Take your time and visit the studios of the people who exhibit here. Check for opening times etc Caters for impromptu visitors and day trippers. Quiet walks beside the river. View the alternating modern sculptures. Caters for food allergies. Caters for wheelchair users. Quiet and restful when no shows on. Excellent facilities and varied international programme of musical events. Worth all the effort to visit.
This is a lovely restaurant to visit. The historic restored industrial buildings are charming, celebrating the musical history of the area with music and concert spaces that offer daily events. There are also fabulous antique shops to explore, as well as modern interior décor to purchase. The addition of plants and a variety of restaurants makes for a perfect day out. Visitors can also enjoy a leisurely stroll through the nearby bogs, which is a bonus for birdwatchers. I have fond memories of this place and appreciate the unique angles of the buildings.
I really enjoy this establishment. There are lovely walking paths with reading benches, a great concert hall, and charming art and furniture stores, including pottery shops. We also had a delightful slice of cake and coffee. It is unfortunate to learn that the art trust shop and exhibition closed in May.
This restaurant is a lovely place to visit with a beautiful environment. Walking along the reed fields on a sunny day is very calming. I recommend paying a visit and checking out the unique wares for sale. I didn't give it a full 5 stars because it seemed to cater mostly to tourists, but I'm sure there are plenty of talented local artists in the UK who create amazing work that doesn't need to be imported.
