What Aurélie Charrier doesn't like about Northern Star Cafe:
Every small northern town has a Chinese takeout restaurant and Smithers is no exception. This place is awful. The food is honestly the worst food I have ever eaten, anywhere. The buffet is full of typical small-town Chinese restaurant items, but cooked worse. Honestly, if I had one nice thing to say about it, I would because I am not trying to skewer anyone, but it is really, really awful. Save your money, go to Safe... View all feedback. What Guiseppe Hand likes about Northern Star Cafe:
The first time I have been here in a long time and I was very impressed. The wait staff had an excellent uniform and were very attentive. I had the #3 combo and my friends had the Singapore noodles and the won ton soup with noodles. The three dishes arrived together and were delicious. Altogether a delightful experience. One of the ladies with me said they had the cleanest bathroom she has ever seen in a restaurant. View all feedback.

read moreThe Northern Star restaurant in Smithers offers a decent Chinese food option in town, although it may not be the most flavorful or fresh compared to other alternatives. Despite the lack of standout dishes, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is clean, making it a solid choice for those craving Chinese cuisine in the area. With a diverse menu that includes Western options as well, Northern Star is a reliable spot for a satisfying meal that won't break the bank.
