Perched on Sitka’s waterfront, this tidy, well-located lodge pairs a highly regarded restaurant with spacious, ocean-view rooms and exceptionally friendly service. Guests praise comfortable beds, secure check‑in, practical in‑room amenities (mini‑fridge, Keurig, microwave), and helpful shuttle/driver service that makes downtown attractions and hikes easy to reach. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with lovely harbor views from the deck. Note: rooms have dated decor, exterior entrances, and rely on open‑window cooling—marina noise can carry at night.
Peaceful place. Staff extremely helpful and very responsive to any needs. Walking distance to grocery shopping. Walking distance to “downtown”. Short drive to everything else. Parking can be iffy. Made for a great visit.
Wonderful place to stay! The rooms are roomy and the staff is very welcoming. It's clean and comfortable, plus the town of Sitka is within walking distance. You can enjoy stunning views of fishermen, boats, and kayaks from the back deck. There's also a bar and restaurant that offers dinner.
This is a good lodging choice, if you 're visiting Sitka for a day or two. We stayed here for two nights before getting on a small ship cruise of Southeast Alaska...and this small hotel/motel met our needs. Doors open to the exterior. Rooms should be described as dated, but they 're clean and equipped with a Keurig and small fridge, as well as a TV (which we didn 't use). Cooling is via an open window (we didn 't need heat). The proprietor did a great job of helping us get what we needed! The location on a marina means there are noises at all hours if you 're sensitive to that senensory input.Rooms: Decor is dated, but the room was clean and reasonably well equipped with small fridge, coffee and tea. Ample storage for clothes. Open the window to cool the room.Safety: Quiet town that seems very safe.Walkability: We were able to walk to restaurants and shopping.
Great hospitality from Ferdinand and Kevin. Ferdi gave us lots of tips and shuttled us to/from the airport. Kevin answered so many of our questions about Sitka. They?ve both been here for decades, we were lucky to have met them. Would return!
I didn 't stay here but I was fishing with another charter and their captain whose named turned out to be Jordan came screaming into our spot and was about five feet from our bow and started circling our boat yelling at us about why we can 't find our ownspot.... last time I checked I was fishing in the Pacific Ocean and no one person or charter has their own spot This was themost unprofessional thing I have ever seen and I would never use this lodge if these are the people they hire.
