KFC appears to be disregarding customer feedback regarding the smaller chicken portions. Many of the servings contain primarily bread and grease, with very little actual meat. The bread was soggy and lacked the flavor it once had. The only standout item in the meal was the coleslaw, which was delicious. On the bright side, the restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick, so I’ll give it an extra star for those reasons.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. As I was driving through, I asked for some extra salt, but the woman at the window seemed puzzled and asked if I really meant salt. When I confirmed, she handed me a handful of pepper in an annoyed manner. It felt very immature and unprofessional.
The food is always top-notch, but there appears to be a problem with the soda machine, as the drinks have a slight bleach-like flavor. On the bright side, the guests are COVID-free!
Really, KFC? This is the size of the salad you get with the variety pack combo now? What happened to the two large salads or sides? Now you only get two individual ones? What a ripoff. And check out the size of the gravy— I could spit more than that container holds. Some combos come with just chicken and fries, no sides or gravy, and cost $32.99? Seriously? No wonder it's never busy when I'm in the area.
I was about to order lunch, but the female employee was hurrying the customer ahead of me and made me feel rushed too. She appeared stressed, which was off-putting. I expected better customer service from KFC. While these are challenging times, customers shouldn’t have to bear the consequences. Friendly service with a smile is what I anticipated. Ultimately, I chose to go elsewhere.
KFC is currently facing significant criticism for diminished portion sizes and quality, with patrons noting that chicken servings are largely bread and grease, leaving much to be desired. While the coleslaw remains a highlight, long wait times, inconsistent service, and staffing issues have led to dissatisfaction. Despite a clean environment and friendly staff, the overall experience has left many customers feeling undervalued. Concerns about the quality of beverages further contribute to the disappointment, making this location struggle to uphold KFC’s reputation.

I spent $70 at this restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The employee, Alyssa, was dismissive and even tossed our food at us without inquiring if we needed anything. When we asked for ketchup, she simply threw it into the bag. Despite paying for extra chicken, it was missing from our order. When I approached her for forks, she responded with a condescending "Do you need something?" If you're going to hire staff, please ensure they are friendly and attentive rather than rude like Alyssa.
This was the worst experience I've ever had at a KFC, both in terms of service and food quality. The staff seemed completely uninterested in the customers waiting to place their orders, and they were slow and disorganized. When I asked a server to repeat herself because she was speaking too quietly, she became quite rude. After finally getting my food, I returned home where my kids were eagerly waiting for dinner, only to discover that half of our order was missing! Additionally, the chicken pieces were disappointingly small—there were supposed to be 8, but it looked more like 4, and 2 of those were mostly skin and breading. When I called to report the missing items, the staff was unhelpful and suggested I simply drive back to collect them, despite the fact that I live over 20 minutes away and had just picked up the food on my way home from work. I absolutely do not recommend this location to anyone; it tarnishes the KFC name when all of our previous visits to other locations have been great.
I wouldn't even give the KFC location in Simcoe a single star if I had that option. They truly deserve zero stars. It was absolutely unacceptable to wait an hour for just three chicken tenders and a four-piece combo. While it's not the employees' fault that they're understaffed, management really needs to step in and provide support. The staff could have better attitudes, but I wouldn't be happy either if I were working long hours under such circumstances.
I understand how difficult it is to find reliable staff willing to work in fast food in this area, but KFC’s service is truly disappointing. They should just close the doors until they can operate this location properly. I was parked outside and called to check if they had an item from the menu that’s frequently sold out, and they told me they were closed. However, when I walked inside, I was able to place an order while others were using the drive-thru. They never have online ordering available, which makes no sense since they don’t seem to have staff capable of taking orders efficiently. If you do manage to get your food or find what you want on the menu, it’s just like any other KFC.
