This was our first visit to Kaleys and will be our last. We had lunch. The soup was good. The prices are not cheap. Server was nice. Coffee was not good.

My wife and I stopped after we left the home we put an offer it on. Our agent recommended Kaleys. First thought: parking was a challenge so we went 2 blocks away. Thats not Kaleys problem. We ordered coffee and fries with gravy x 2. It was over $19.00! Coffee was uber strong and fries part cooked. Server polite. But over $22 with the loonie i gave server for french fries and coffee. Prices arent servers fault. We wouldnt return. Thats ridiculous.

Every once in a while you go to a restaurant that surprises you !! We weren 't sure what to expect because the restaurant was recommended to us by a bank employee. Being new to the area we wanted to find good food at a fair price. This restaurant does it in spades !! When you walk up the two steps into the restaurant it seems small and quite busy. That 's because this restaurant is a teaching facility for Fanshawe College students to learn the fine art of cuisine, from A to Z . We went around the corner into a quaint set of tables with lots of room between them for conversation or to shuffle around for larger groups. Laurie was our waitress and explained all of the options and served beverages immediately. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of food on our plate and slices of fresh fruit to enhance the appearance. Our waitress was prompt without being pushy or making us feel like we had to hurry. All good features of a good restaurant. We also looked over the homemade baked goods and soups in the freezer and I can only say, don 't pass these up either. We have gone back for lunch and certainly would recommend them again for a great experience. Do not let the outside fool you into not going in. If you are in the Simcoe area for the Christmas lights or for a pass through, please give this a try.

Kaley and her team cook up a wonderful daily selection of grab and go lunches , terrific for busy business people. Her catering is equally fantastic, she was confident to take on a family member's birthday celebration with little notice and great creativity and flavour!
