Feedback
Several mixed reviews were provided for a restaurant located in Simco, Ontario. Concerns included dirty tables, long wait times for food, cold meals, and ingredient shortages. Some patrons expressed frustration with slow service and lack of communication. However, positive experiences were also shared, praising friendly staff, great service, and delicious food. Despite the varied feedback, overall, the restaurant seems to have potential, especially with improvements in service timing and consistency in food quality. It may be worth trying again for those seeking a casual dining experience in the Simco area.
We visited recently in the midst of a drive and were every excited to check it out. Food was really good (although we did wish the artichoke dip dish was bigger as we went through it very fast) and the server we had was very friendly and helpful. The only issue really was the wait times for food. It took about 30 minutes to get the appetizer and roughly 30 more for the main dishes. By the time we had finished our food we had been there almost an hour and a half. I think it's a great place to eat (albeit a little pricey) but definitely has some kinks to work out.
Upon entering the restaurant, I waited at the door for 5 minutes while multiple staff members walked by without acknowledging me or informing me that someone would be with me. I was in town for a funeral and just wanted to grab some food to bring back to my hotel after a long day of traveling and being at the funeral home. Despite being patient and understanding of the service industry, I left without being recognized. This Simco Ontario location could use some improvements.
I waited for more than 20 minutes for a takeout order that the restaurant said was ready. After paying for it, I continued to wait but was ignored by the wait staff. When I inquired about the status of my food, I was told it would be just a minute. If I hadn't already paid, I would have left. I even warned others entering the restaurant to eat somewhere else. Seriously, do not go to this place.
BP has been a regular spot for me and my family. I would take my daughter out for dinner regularly on game nights to enjoy the food and environment. We are very familiar with the chain and multiple of its locations. Last night, I called in a take out order and got everything from their Appy Menu, which is budget friendly and available from 3 to 6 pm or 9 to midnight Sunday to Thursday. I specifically asked for carrots only with the wings and also ordered sweet potato fries. We've ordered the fries before. But this time, she specifically asked if I was ordering those fries from the appy menu. I had no idea why. See the pic to gain a better understanding. It wasn't like this before. I mean, give me a smaller box. At least it won't look so bad. And how about those carrots, too? Oh, and also, we ordered 2 orders of breaded fried wings and got baked ones. It's like the chic was out to lunch. It's so annoying.Edit: I wanted to clarify the wing situation: We knew they had baked wings. When we called in the order, we asked if they had fried wings and confirmed they did, and they were breaded. And that's what we ordered. Otherwise, we would have taken baked wings because there is no point in getting them fried if no breading is there. For us anyways.
We waited an excessive amount of time for our food at this restaurant. Our party of 6 came in for lunch and ordered appetizers, which took about half an hour to arrive. However, we then waited another hour for our main dishes. Despite being told that the restaurant was short-staffed, customers who arrived after us received their food before we did. After expressing our frustration to the server and receiving curt responses, including a rude comment about not being able to make our meals any faster, we decided to speak with the manager and were prepared to leave without our food. Surprisingly, our food arrived within five minutes of speaking with the manager, leading us to question the delay. One of the meals was cold and the Thai wrap was dried out, indicating it had been under the heat lamps for too long. The manager kindly comped our meal, which we appreciated, but the server did not offer any apology or explanation. Overall, we do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
