Fantastic staff and owner who forgive us for not speaking Portuguese and are happy to indulge us in English! Everything here is homemade and absolutely delicious. Bread and olives, soup, main course, dessert, coffee and half a litre of wine each to wash it down for €8.50. At home we use the phrase “you get what you pay for” we’ll forget that as for that price you are getting a super fresh, quality meal worth so much more.

Luís speaks fluent Engli... read more At lunch time they serve traditional Portuguese lunches (Prato do dia) for €8. Soup, main meal and dessert plus jug of wine and coffee. Luís speaks fluent English and German and is very very hospitable. The food is always very well flavoured and, in my opinion ,even though Algoz is the restaurant capital of the Algarve, this restaurant has the edge on all the others. I eat here twice a week!! Evening meals are also excllent.
