We visited this nice looking, well recommended cafe/restaurant during the advertised gastronomy week (Semana Gastronomia). The staff were lovely and appreciated our attempts to speak Portuguese. Despite the title of the week's festivities the menu looked like the usual everyday one. My starter of quail eggs and sausage really was just fried eggs with sausage...my main of Polvo with sweet potato was okay but quite a bit of it was undercooked and inedible. My wife's pork mixed grill was large and a bit dry a sauce of some kind may have helped. The house wine was excellent as it normally is in most Portuguese places! It was a long way to drive for very average food...we are not at all fussy.. maybe they were off their game last night.
We went for dinner on our wedding anniversary and it was divine! The service was very good, the food was fabulous and the atmosphere is wonderful. We were 4, 2 adults and 2 children and we were all very impressed. I highly recommend it!
The restaurant from outside looks simple, but there is sooooo tasty seafood for reasonable price. We took whole crab (18 eur), calmar rings (4 eur), pork with seafood (14 eur) big water, 2 glasses of wine, cola and some snacks. The bill for all was was 49 eur. Everything was well cooked and tasty. Big portions. Friendly staff.
Visited on my way to the Algarve. The food we had was well prepared. Room is very small. A/C is also small and could not handle the heat. Service is normal. It's a good place to go if you happen to be in the neighborhood but won't deserve a detour if not.
