Wow, given the current reviews, did we apparently come on the wr... read more Ate here last year, food ok, nothing special, and waiter was cold. But thought we 'd try again. Wow, given the current reviews, did we apparently come on the wrong night. (Last Friday). Three parties piled in to the entrance, only to be rudely told its seat yourself. Sign shortage? The waitress flipped a couple of menus at us, so to try to help we quickly asked for a beverage, another snap, I 'll be back for your drink order. She came back and slung some plates of food at the folks at the table next to us. Ok, time to leave. Headed for Avalanche, had an excellent pizza and great beer, and most importantly, in a service industry for goodness sake, a pleasant and happy place.

We actually got to dine with the owner, Rudy himself! I ordered the carne asada and it was delicious. The flavors in all of the dishes were incredible and everything is homemade and cooked fresh daily. They are closed for the winter months, but Rudy will be there until October 1st. If you are visiting the Silverton area this year, be sure to stop in for the best Mexican food around. And don't forget to try their amazing Margaritas - they are fresh and delicious with no artificial sweeteners. I highly recommend the jalapeño one.

The service was fast and friendly, with chips and salsa served right away. The salsa was great - flavorful with a kick! I tried the grilled fish tacos and they were amazing. They were topped off with yummy jalapeño pico and tasty dill ranch sauce. My husband enjoyed the carne asada plate, and our child loved the huge beef burrito with beans mixed in. Overall, it was a great dining experience and we will definitely be returning!
