The food was authentic, fresh, and reasonably priced by D.C. standards. I chose to sit outside, which did mean dealing with some traffic noise, but it was sometimes quiet too. Overall, it was a solid experience.

I also tried a glass of Tej (honey wine), which was fantastic. While the service was a bit slow, making it less ideal for those in a rush, I would definitely recommend this place.

I remember the favors and spices from home at home and the food in Abol brings me back again and again. The New Manger is really nice and welcoming, it makes everyone feel like their part of a family. The restaurant gives a homely, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel very comfortable. If I ever want Ethiopian food, I know abol will never disappoint that I have been there 4 times and loves food more and more, can not express how much I highly recommend this place if you want authentic Ethiopian cuisine. Great service by the way
