The Gincase Tearoom
Description
**A Family Day Out at Gincase Farm: A Mixed Bag of Fun and Comfort**
Gincase Farm offers a delightful mix of activities for families, with go-kart racing, zip-lining, and petting friendly animals like goats being standout attractions. Children revel in the expansive play areas, both indoor and outdoor, making it a fantastic destination, especially for those under ten. However, the experience can be hampered by cold indoor conditions, particularly in the barn housing the soft play area, where heating is desperately needed. Dining options are limited, and while some find the homemade offerings appealing, more diverse choices, including a kids' menu, would enhance the visit. Overall, Gincase is a charming venue worth returning to, especially in warmer weather.

After the animal feeding, we headed to the soft play area, which was impressively large. Unfortunately, it was extremely cold in there, as it was housed in a barn. Even with us running around, it was still too chilly for my young children to enjoy. I understand that it would be a significant investment, but the management should really consider adding industrial heaters to warm up the barn; it was simply too cold for us to stay for long. Additionally, there was no café next to the soft play area that was open, which meant we couldn't get any hot food or drinks while we were there. We were only able to stay for about half an hour before deciding to go to the small café for a warm drink and something to eat. Unfortunately, there was no kids' menu available, so we couldn't find anything suitable for our children, and the adult menu featured mostly just soup and scones. As a result, we left without having any hot drinks or food. In summary, we were only at Gincase for about 40 minutes, primarily due to the unfavorable weather. However, I believe improvements could be made for the winter months, such as heating in the soft play area and offering hot drinks in the play barn. These changes could encourage families to stay longer. I can imagine that during the summer, this would be a fantastic day out, and I look forward to returning when the weather is warmer to fully enjoy our visit.
Great little activity farm. Both indoor and outdoor play areas are great. Some lovely, friendly animals. The goat feeding is particularly wonderful. I'd probably recommend it for kids under 10 but if they are animal daft kids of all ages will like it.
Great fun for the kids. If the weather is good its fantastic. Animals to pet feed. Soft play. Sand pit. Plenty to do. Homemade baking, pies quiche. Very nice. All reasonably priced. Book ahead for a table because is always full. Very popular.
Worth every penny .kids loved it so good we went back the day after.this is one of the best places i have been to for the kids
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my visit. The setting is beautiful, and there’s so much to do. My 2-year-old absolutely loved the animals, especially feeding a goat, and had a great time in the play area and sand pits. The café was fantastic, especially since they offered gluten-free options on the menu, which was a nice touch. We will definitely be coming back!
