I ordered fish and chips last Tuesday, and the piece of fish I received was likely the best I've ever had. The batter was crispy, and the fish was moist and perfectly cooked. It was fried fresh while I waited. Absolutely fantastic! View all feedback.

Went today bought 2 fish and chips which were uneatable and they went in the bin.ordered a buttered roll which she charged £1 which only had a scrape of what looked like margarine on,disgusting.Fish was dripping in grease chips looked liked they had been reheated more than once and were cold.Will definitely not be back I’ve never ever seen anything like it.Only got 1 star as it wouldn’t let you give none View all feedback.

My daughter and I ordered fish and chips and 2 portions of mushy peas. Half way thru our meals she discovered a dead blue bottle in her peas. The whole meal was ruined for all of us. Trading standards should look into their hygeine policy.
Fantastic food, well priced for a good feed, the staff are a pleasure to deal with. If you've not tried John's Plaice you are missing out. A true Silloth experience.

I visit Silloth on a regular basis, John's Plaice is always and has always been my first stop for a good hearty meal, I'm no chip shop conesseur but I've always received EXCELLENT service! The food is well priced and delicious, as for the service always a great experience so friendly and helpful. Thank you guys for an excellent service and best wishes for many more years to come. VIST SILLOTH, VISIT THE BEST.
